Cinch is a free and easy way to create and share audio, text and photo updates using your phone or computer. Cinch enables you to capture and report on your experiences in a way that simple text just can’t do. Using a simple interface, you can make and broadcast your content creations through Facebook, Twitter, cinch.fm and more. Learn more.

There are three ways you can login to Cinch to begin creating content.

You can:

1. Register for a Cinch account using the Cinch iPhone app or at www.cinch.fm
2. Use your existing Facebook account to login
3. Use your existing Twitter account to login

A Cinch is a funny moment documented in audio, important news you want to spread, a photo with commentary—it’s your ideas, thoughts and experiences packaged up so you can share them. A Cinch can include audio, text and photos, and can be shared on Facebook, Twitter, and cinch.fm.

You can create a Cinch three ways:

1. Using the Cinch iPhone App. Here is a step-by-step guide:
   1. Select "Record" icon
   2. Select "Record" button to record your voice, enter text in "What are you saying?" box, and/or upload a photo using upload icon
   3. Review your recording using "Play" button
   4. If you want to re-record your audio recording you can hit "Start Over"
   5. Once you are happy with it, select "Publish" to share it
   6. Select which Album you would like to post it to or create a new Album
   7. Select whether you would like to share it on Facebook and Twitter
   8. Select "Publish" again to share your Cinch
2. Using your phone. Here is a step-by-step guide:
   1. Set up your phone number on cinch.fm here
   2. Dial 1-646-200-0000 to create a Cinch
   3. Listen to, download and share your Cinch on your page on cinch.fm
3. Using cinch.fm. Here is a step by step guide:
   1. Login to your account and go to "My Page"
   2. Click on "Record a Cinch" (If you receive Flash Message please select Allow to continue.)
   3. Click on "Start Recording" to record and "Stop" when you are done
   4. Listen to your recording using purple play button, when you are happy with it click on "Save Recording"
   5. You will see "Cinch Added" when your audio file has been attached
   6. Add text and photo and select the album you would like it to appear in, then click "Submit"
   * We recommend using a headset when recording Cinches via your computer.

While we don’t have a specific limit, we do encourage you to keep it short and sweet.

The answer is that there are no extra charges added to your phone bill. This isn't a toll free number so you will be charged for a call to a NY telephone number. The Cinch number (646) 200-0000 works globally.

An Album is something you can create to organize all of your Cinches by topic or event. When you create an Album you can set it to be public or private. People can select to follow specific albums of yours, if they are public. For example, you could create a "Family" Album that members of your family can follow and to stay up to date with your daily experiences or a "Vacation" Album where you post updates on all your latest adventures.

No, you can set your Cinch albums to be Public or Private using both the Cinch Application and on cinch.fm.

How to delete a Cinch on cinch.fm:

1. Go to "My Page"
2. Select Album where the Cinch you would like to delete is stored
3. Click on Cinch you would like to delete
4. Click on "X" that appears in right corner of Cinch update
5. Confirm that you would like to delete

How to delete a Cinch with the iPhone:

1. Go to "My Content" in iPhone application
2. Select Album where the Cinch you would like to delete is stored
3. Select "Edit" in top right corner
4. Select "Delete" next to Cinch you would like to remove

To easily connect your Cinch account to your Facebook and Twitter accounts:

On cinch.fm

1. Log in to your Cinch account
2. In the right column of page look for "Instantly Publish to Facebook, Twitter"
3. Select Facebook or Twitter icon and enter your Twitter or Facebook login information
4. Select "Connect"
5. Now you can choose to share your Cinches on Facebook and Twitter

On the iPhone App:

1. Go to "Account" in the Cinch iPhone Application
2. Select Facebook or Twitter icon and enter your Twitter or Facebook login information
3. Select "Connect"
4. Now you can choose to share your Cinches on Facebook and Twitter

You can search for other users’ Cinches or Cinch albums by clicking on the search function and entering your search term into the text box provided.

On cinch.fm:

You can easily follow someone using the cinch.fm:

1. Click on an individual’s Cinch from the public timeline or from your search results
2. Click on "Follow" on users profile page

On the iPhone App:

1. Click on an individual’s Cinch from the public timeline or from your search results
2. Click on view album
3. Click on the RSS button in the upper right hand corner of their album

1. Highlight the Cinch you want to share
2. Click on “Link” below the avatar
3. Copy and paste URL from browser window

1. Highlight the Cinch you want to share
2. Click on "Embed" below the avatar
3. Copy code and insert HTML into your web page or Blog post

To edit the text on a Cinch or add text to a Cinch that you created using the phone:

1. Highlight the Cinch you want to share
2. Click on "Edit"
3. Edit or add text in the field provided
4. Click on "Save Changes"

It is easy to reply to a users cinch:

1. Login to your Cinch account
2. Hit Reply on the cinch you would like to reply to
3. Type text reply in field provided (up to 140 characters)
4. Record audio reply by :
   1. Click on "Record a Cinch" (If you receive Flash Message please select Allow to continue.)
   2. Click on "Start Recording" to record and "Stop" when you are done
   3. Listen to your recording using purple play button, when you are happy with it click on "Save Recording"
   4. You will see "Cinch Added" when your audio file has been attached
5. When your text and audio file is complete click "Submit"
